1. Introduction

Coach Ty ("Coach Ty," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-powered training app that creates and adapts personalized running and lifting plans. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Coach Ty, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account details — such as your name, email address, and password.
• Profile & training inputs — your goals, experience level, schedule, body metrics you choose to share, and how you feel after workouts.
• Payment information — handled by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Communications — messages you send to our support team.

Information collected automatically

• Usage & device data — app interactions, device type, operating system, and diagnostic information used to improve the app.

3. Connected fitness integrations

Coach Ty integrates with popular fitness platforms and wearables, including Strava, Garmin, COROS, and Apple Health, among others. When you authorize a connection, we may receive and store data such as:

• Activities and workouts (runs, rides, lifts, distance, duration, pace, splits)
• Heart rate, heart-rate variability, and other physiological metrics
• Sleep, recovery, readiness, and training-load data
• Calories, steps, and other health metrics made available by the service
• Basic profile information from the connected account

This data is retrieved through each provider's official API after you grant permission, and is stored on our servers and databases so Coach Ty can build plans, generate insights, make real-time adjustments, and push workouts back to your devices. We also send structured workouts to supported wearables (for example, pushing a planned workout to your Garmin device).

You can disconnect any integration at any time from within the app. Disconnecting stops future data syncing; you can also request deletion of previously synced data as described in Section 7. Your use of each connected service remains subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

4. How we use your information

• Create, personalize, and continuously adapt your running and lifting plans.
• Power AI features that respond to how you feel and rebuild your plan when you go off track.
• Sync watch and activity data, and push workouts to your connected wearables.
• Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Coach Ty app.
• Process subscriptions and communicate with you about your account.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

5. Data storage & retention

Your account data and all data synced from connected integrations (Strava, Garmin, COROS, Apple Health, and others) are stored on our secured databases and cloud infrastructure. We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data and synced integration data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers — cloud hosting, database, analytics, AI processing, and payment partners who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Connected services — when you direct us to send data to a wearable or platform (for example, pushing a workout to Garmin).
• Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and Coach Ty.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

7. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can:

• View and update your profile within the app.
• Disconnect any fitness integration at any time.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

9. Children's privacy

Coach Ty is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Significant changes may be communicated within the app.
